Meet Matt Stephens: Chief Financial Officer

We’re excited to introduce Matt Stephens, Denyon Homes’ Chief Financial Officer. Matt’s journey with Denyon began in 2004, where he worked until 2009 before rejoining the team in 2022. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Matt holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Accounting, and he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois.

As CFO, Matt plays a pivotal role in overseeing Denyon Homes’ accounting and business finances. He works closely with the company’s owners on long-term planning and strategic goals, helping to ensure the financial health and success of the organization. One of his key responsibilities is collaborating with financial lenders to secure funding for Denyon’s large-scale, master-planned neighborhoods—an essential part of our growth and development.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Matt shared that it's the fulfillment of watching projects come to life. “Seeing a project that takes months or even years of planning become reality and transform into active subdivisions full of homes and happy families is incredibly rewarding,” he said.

Outside of work, Matt stays busy with personal home improvement projects, traveling, and cooking—three hobbies that allow him to be creative and hands-on.
